Strengthening the Innovation Pipeline: Ireland4LIFE Survey

by admin_username | Aug 24, 2026 | Innovation

At the heart of a resilient agricultural sector is a robust Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS) connecting farmers, advisors, researchers, and enterprise to drive the transition towards a more sustainable agriculture. Access to targeted funding is a critical catalyst that enables AKIS stakeholders to develop and pilot innovations to solve some of the industry’s biggest climate, nature and biodiversity challenges.

The EU LIFE Programme provides major funding for nature restoration, biodiversity, climate action, and clean energy transitions. To ensure Irish Agri-sector stakeholders can fully leverage these opportunities, ERINN Innovation and the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment (DCEE) are inviting organisations to complete the Ireland4LIFE Gap Analysis Survey.

Whether you are experienced with EU LIFE, have considered applying, or you are completely new to the programme, your perspective is essential. Taking just 8–10 minutes, the survey assesses familiarity with the programme, identifies barriers to participation, and pinpoints the exact support needed to build competitive applications.

Your input will directly shape future LIFE guidance, tailored communications, and stakeholder engagement across Ireland. Aligning environmental funding streams with our national AKIS framework empowers agri-food stakeholders to turn innovative sustainable practices into funded, high-impact projects.

Have your say: Complete the Ireland4LIFE Survey today and share it within your networks to help inform future national support.
