The Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) is a common policy for all EU countries and works towards a number of key objectives. The CAP also supports agriculture and communities in making a much stronger contribution to the EU Green Deal.

As part of the CAP, Ireland has produced its CAP Strategic Plan (CSP), a national strategy for implementing the CAP in Ireland. A key element of the CAP Strategic Plan is the performance-based approach being taken, compared with the compliance-based approaches of the past.

With this in mind, CAP Network Ireland have created our themed pages under Ireland’s CSP in order to best highlight our key areas of importance when it comes to supporting sustainable development of the farming and food sector.

Our themes within Ireland’s CSP 2023-2027 are Green Architecture, Climate Change, LEADER, EIP-AGRI and Farm Viability. Learn more about each of these themes below:
