The latest edition of the EU CAP Network’s LEADER newsletter is now available. This publication offers an overview of key LEADER activities facilitated by the EU CAP Network and its national partners, along with inspiring success stories on the ground. Produced quarterly, the newsletter includes a wealth of insights.
Headlining the September 2026 edition is a focus on how LEADER and Local Action Groups can help build social resilience in rural communities. The newsletter looks at how communities can ‘bounce forward’ from challenges, including an Irish example showing how Local Development Companies are using the Community Connection project to build stronger links between long-term residents and newcomers, helping to foster positive attitudes towards migrants and strengthen communities’ resilience to misinformation and division.
Elsewhere in the newsletter, readers can discover how young voices are helping shape rural Europe’s future through the LEADER Youth Community. In addition, the edition looks at LEADER in the Netherlands and also showcases ‘LEADER Stories’ from Luxembourg, highlighting the people and communities behind local development.
Other highlights include lessons from cooperation between LEADER LAGs in Europe’s Outermost Regions and insights from three ‘champions of cooperation’, sharing how transnational cooperation has helped address common challenges around farming, sustainable tourism and youth participation in decision-making.
