On 2 July, CAP Network Ireland, in conjunction with the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht (DRCDG) hosted a Procurement Webinar. Aimed at LEADER Managers and Project Officers within Local Action Groups (LAGs) and Implementing Partners (IPs), this webinar provided practical information on the application of the National Procurement Guidelines for LEADER.
We were pleased to welcome Fiona Costelloe and Colin Doyle from the Goods and Services Policy Unit at the Office of Government Procurement, who shared a range of insightful tips, tools and resources. Topics covered included defining public procurement; EU and national policies and guidelines; obtaining quotations; scoring and transparency; using the e-Tenders platform; environmental and social objectives; Green Public Procurement; Social Public Procurement; and the Capital Works Management Framework.
For practical guidance related to the above topics, a wide range of resources can be found on the OGP website. Materials include:
- The National Procurement Guidelines for Goods and Services
- e-Learning Courses
- Frequently Asked Questions
- Green Public Procurement Criteria Search
- A support helpdesk: support@ogp.gov.ie
Thank you to everyone who joined today’s capacity building LEADER Procurement Webinar with CAP Network Ireland and the DRCDG and special thanks to our guest speakers Fiona and Colin, and to Marie Duffy who presented on behalf of the DRCDG.
A Q&A document and full webinar recording will be made available in the coming days on the CAP Network Ireland website, where you will also find more information on LEADER funding nationally.
