Important Dates for February/March 2025

This list is intended as a resource to stay up to date with the latest deadlines regarding schemes and regulations in Irish agriculture. The information is correct at the time of publication but should only be used as a guide. Please contact the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) or your agricultural advisor for confirmation of these dates.

February

2025 Scheme of Investment Aid for Process and Organizational Innovation in Horticulture for Large Enterprises. The deadline for receipt of completed applications by email is midnight, Friday, February 7th.

2025 Scheme of Investment Aid for Innovation and Diversification in Horticulture (Capital Investments). The deadline for receipt of completed applications by email is midnight, Friday, February 7th.

2025 Scheme of Investment Aid for Innovation and Diversification in Horticulture (Feasibility / Desk Studies). The deadline for receipt of completed applications is midnight, Friday, February 7th.

Applications for Tranche 10 of the Organic Processing Investment Grant Scheme must be submitted by February 8th when the tranche will close.

Registering a Farm Partnership must be completed by February 10th.

The window for Suckler Carbon Efficiency Programme (SCEP) participants to amend 2025 yearly reference numbers closes at 23.59hrs on February 12th.

Nutrient spreading. Zone C farmers can spread organic fertiliser (slurry) and farmyard manure (FYM) from February 1st. They must refrain from spreading chemical fertiliser until February 15th.

Call for proposals for Agri-Food Tourism Initiatives. Closing date for receipt of applications is 12 noon on Monday 24th February 2025.

The national hedge cutting season remains open until February 28th. The season runs from September 1st until the end of February each year.

March

The closing date for submission of applications to tranche 6 of the Targeted Agriculture Modernisation Scheme (TAMS 3) is March 7th.

2025 Traditional Farm Buildings Grant Scheme will close to applications on Monday 10th of March.

Dairy Beef Welfare Scheme payments for scheme year 1 (2024) will begin in March 2025 (exact date not yet announced).

Hedgerow and tree planting requirements under the Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES) has been extended to March 31st.
