1st meeting of the Thematic Group on Risk Management, Preparedness Strategies and Tools

This Thematic Group (TG) will provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss how integrated risk management frameworks can be developed and strengthened across Member States under the CAP 2028-2034. Building on experiences under the CAP and beyond, the TG will identify lessons learned and key enabling conditions for more coherent and integrated risk-management systems and facilitate the exchange of practical examples from Member States to support mutual learning and inform future policy and programme design.
Aims of the first TG meeting:
- Share good practices and examples of preparedness and risk-management approaches in agriculture, including preventive, adaptive, financial and crisis-response measures.
- Identify the barriers, enabling factors, gaps and opportunities in the current agricultural risk-management landscape under the CAP and other related policy frameworks.
- Explore effective approaches for improving the coherence, effectiveness and uptake of risk-management instruments as part of a more integrated and forward-looking preparedness framework for the EU agricultural sector.
