The EU CAP Network is organising three cross-visits for EIP-AGRI Operational Group projects (OGs) in Romania, Greece and Italy in 2025. Farmers representing OGs are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applicants wishing to attend these trips must make their submissions before the 23rd of February 2025, 23:59 CET.
Applications can be submitted here.
The three EU CAP Network cross-visits are as follows:
• ‘Honeybees and other pollinators’ – in Romania, on 7-8 May 2025
Field visit to the OG ‘Bee Smart, Bee Healthy’
• ‘Irrigation – optimising water use practices in annual (and perennial) crops’ – in Greece, on 7-8 May
Field visit to the OG ‘A smart system for low-input agriculture and irrigation water management -– Irrisma’ and to the OG ‘Automated services for the management of rice irrigation using in-field sensors – SisRice’
• ‘Monitoring animal welfare’ – in Italy, on 8-9 May 2025
Field visit to the OG ‘Virtuous Parmigiano Reggiano supply chains with high levels of animal welfare – IN-FORMA’ and to the project ‘Two is better: Pre-weaning calves with their mother and in groups’.
Each cross-visit will last 1.5 days and is hosted by an OG project, which then welcomes other OGs working on similar or complementary topic to exchange on their work. All participants will be actively involved in a stimulating programme which includes one or two field visits, and several interactive sessions.
The working language during the cross-visits will be English and there will be no interpretation.
Travel and accommodation (hotel) costs will be organised and covered by the organiser.
In case your OG has applied to host the cross-visit and has not been selected, you are kindly invited to apply to this call for participation.
Because of the limited number of seats, it will not be possible to accommodate all requests for participation. Selected applicants will receive an invitation to register for participation by early March 2025.
