Agri Data Analytics

Agri Data Analytics is the focus of this Innovation Spotlight. A leading provider of innovative solutions for monitoring and managing methane emissions from cattle, Agri Data Analytics was founded in 2020 by Jack Pilkington and Alan O’Donovan.

The company’s innovative product, the Bovine Breathalyser, is a device that can non-invasively measure enteric methane and CO2 emissions from ruminant animals. It enables emissions testing at scale for agri-research organisations as they look to discover ways of reducing ruminant methane and C02 output through genetical, supplementary and dietary means.

Agri Data Analytics

Key outputs include:

  • The non-invasive method of testing emissions i.e. by offering feed which entices cattle into the emissions testing area of the device.
  • Air intake system and gas measurement technology which can accurately read the concentration of methane and co2 emitted by an animal at any one time.
  • The analysis service and data provided to Agri Data Analytics’ clients.
