The EU CAP network website has recently been updated to include a dedicated area on LEADER and community-led local development (CLLD) which serves as a central hub for all rural stakeholders.

Working to optimise the flow of information pertaining to agriculture and rural policy within the EU, the wide ranging resources available include:

Latest News and Events
• Stay updated on the latest LEADER developments and upcoming events which provide a platform for knowledge sharing and networking opportunities.

LEADER Explained
• Delve into the history of LEADER and explore its seven principles at the heart of this community-driven approach.

LEADER Legislation
• Access a comprehensive collection of the European legislation relevant to LEADER/CLLD, conveniently located in one place.

LEADER Resources
• Explore more than 400 LEADER case studies and good practice projects. The examples from 26 Member States span the 2014-2022 period.
• Browse through almost 200 publications covering various aspects of LEADER, including event reports, policy insights, project brochures and evaluation resources.

LEADER Tools
This section is under development, but will include:
• A Local Action Group (LAG) directory that will provide contact details and information on key priority themes for all approved LAGs across Europe. This is expected to be available in summer 2024.
• A partner search tool to facilitate communication, networking and transnational cooperation among LAGs.

LEADER Toolkit
• A resource which will be based on the European Network for Rural Development (ENRD) toolkit, tailored to address current needs and challenges.

The website’s new LEADER section is a dynamic work in progress, with ongoing efforts to expand and update its content regularly.
