Ten projects have been awarded total funding of almost €1 million per year from 2025 to 2027 to promote organic production in Ireland. This funding is in line with the European Organic Action Plan and Ireland’s National Organic Strategy 2024-2030 and will help to meet the objectives of the Irish National Organic Strategy.
In total, 35 applications were received following the open call for projects to promote organic production in Ireland earlier in 2025. Unsuccessful, applicants are encouraged to take time to view the National Enterprise hub, here. This is the single source for all government supports for business, including those in the agri sector.
Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Martin Heydon said at the announcment: “I am particularly pleased that two projects from the horticultural sector were successful. Earlier this year, my Department hosted a conference highlighting the opportunities in organic horticulture. These two successful projects, from the Organic Growers of Ireland, will support the growth and development of the organic horticulture sector in Ireland. I want to wish all applicants well with their projects, and I look forward to seeing them have a real impact on the continued growth of the organic sector in Ireland.”
