A new EU CAP Network Thematic Group (TG) on Unlocking the Potential of Cooperation has been announced. Applications to become a member must be submitted by 15 August 2025.
Facilitated by the CAP Implementation Contact Point, this is an opportunity to be part of a committed group of experts and relevant stakeholders that will explore various issues associated with unlocking the potential of cooperation in the CAP, while engaging in real EU-wide networking, sharing experiences and contributing to wider policy reflection.
This TG will enable you to explore the success factors for increasing business competitiveness, resilience and growth, particularly for small farmers through cooperation. You will also reflect on the effectiveness of current CAP interventions/frameworks for supporting cooperation and in doing so consider how they can be enhanced, or new ones developed.
The TG will consist of a small (around 40) but dedicated cross-section of informed and engaged stakeholders including: farm-based businesses, smaller farmers, farmers in disadvantaged areas, farm advisers, Managing Authorities, Paying Agencies, National Networks, researchers alongside other relevant stakeholders. Participants will commit to engaging in two meetings and related activities, ensuring diverse perspectives and active contributions to achieving the TG’s objectives.
The first meeting will take place online on Thursday 25 September 2025.
The second meeting will take place in person on Thursday 11 December 2025.
More details are available on the TG page on the EU CAP Network website.
