Targeted LEADER Call to Promote Local Food Products in Louth

The promotion of local food products in Louth is a strategic action of significant importance. This action recognises the economic value of the food sector and the importance of showcasing the unique and high quality food offering that producers in Louth have developed. The promotion of local food products can not only unlock economic development for the county but also foster enhanced community ties and pride within local communities.

In response to this, Louth Local Community Development Committee are now seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for the following targeted call:

Theme: Economic Development and Job Creation
Sub-Theme: Rural Food Production
Local Objective: Development & Expansion of Rural Food Production Sector
Strategic Action: Promotion of Local Food Products

Potential areas that can be funded under this action include:

• Promotional and marketing campaigns
• Funding for a food festival/fair
• Culinary training/education

Total Budget Available: €147,000

Maximum Grant Aid per project: €50,000
– Community Groups up to a maximum of €50,000 or 75%, whichever is the lesser.
– Enterprises up to a maximum of €50,000 or 50%, whichever is the lesser.

Minimum Grant Aid per project: €5,000

Closing Date: 15th October 2025 at 12 noon.
