The CAP Network Ireland Innovation Hub aims to support the development and sharing of innovative ideas and solutions to ensure the economic, environmental and social sustainability of farming and of rural areas.
As part of the Innovation Hub, the team are beginning round 2 of collection within our three thematic pilots; Organics, Horticulture and EIP. The team will be interviewing people and projects from Ireland and abroad to highlight the aspects of their research, policies or initiatives that might be of interest. This knowledge will be shared with experts to determine its potential to address key challenges facing these sectors. The next step is to map out a pathway for this knowledge to have an impact and work with various stakeholders to ensure the knowledge is transferred.
The success of these pilots relies on effective collaboration and knowledge sharing. Please get in touch with the CAP Network Ireland team if you are aware of any relevant innovative knowledge, practices or tools that could benefit Irish farmers. Your contribution could help shape the future of Irish agriculture. To learn more, contact Claire Kearney on 087 3341759.
Additionally, from the 19th– 20th of March Ireland will host a delegation from the EU CAP Network for an event. Agricultural stakeholders from all around Europe will attend a field visit on ‘Innovative Tools for Advisors’ where national research institutions will showcase some of the Irish innovations in this space. Keep an eye on the CAP Network Ireland website and social media to hear more about the visit!
