Join the BioDirect Agriculture Industry Roundtable this May

Mar 17, 2024 | Bioeconomy, Climate Change

There is an upcoming BioDirect Agriculture Industry Roundtable this May. BioDirect is an All Island initiative funded by InterTradeIreland’s Synergy Programme and is committed to accelerating the adoption of circular bio-based products across various sectors of the economy.

In alignment with the European Commission’s sustainability directives such as the Biodiversity Strategy 2030 and the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), the agricultural sector in Ireland stands at a pivotal moment. There is a unique opportunity to drive innovation in circular bio economy solutions, including reducing pesticides, valorising waste, and capturing and recycling nutrients.

To delve deeper into this potential for innovation, The Circular Bioeconomy Cluster South-West is pleased to host an Agriculture Industry Roundtable on May 22nd from 11am to 2pm in the Killeshin Hotel, Portlaoise (R32 TYW7). This event will facilitate an in-depth exploration of the agricultural value chain, identifying both challenges and opportunities for collaborative cross-border projects in the circular bioeconomy.

This discussion will allow you to gain insights into innovation opportunities within your sectoral value chain, explore new partnerships to address your circular bio-based needs, learn about available grant funding opportunities for projects, create networking opportunities with industry strategists, innovators, SMEs, researchers, and funders along with influencing sectoral innovation priorities and future project funding for circular bio-based innovation.
