1st meeting of the Thematic Group on the Economic Vulnerability of Farming

The EU CAP Network, with the support of the CAP Implementation Contact Point, organises up to five Thematic Groups per year, selecting members from a public expression of interest.
This will be the primary meeting of this particular Thematic Group and it will delve into the Economic Vulnerability of Farming in the EU.
Aims of the first TG meeting:
- Discuss what we mean by the economic vulnerability of farming and identify the drivers of vulnerability.
- Discuss how farm-based businesses are capitalising on the possibilities for overcoming the challenges associated with farming’s vulnerability.
- Begin to consider the effectiveness of current CAP interventions/frameworks to address economic vulnerabilities.
