Are you an Operational Group member, farmer, cooperative and association member, entrepreneur, advisor, researcher or work in a related profession? You may be interested in the recent announcement by EU CAP Network for an upcoming workshop ‘Innovation in logistics to improve the position of farmers in a supply chain’ with a focus on innovation, knowledge exchange and EIP-AGRI.
This event will take place in Rouen, France from Tuesday 20 to Wednesday 21 May 2025. The workshop will last a day and a half and includes field visits.
The workshop key focus areas include:
• new technologies – including digital tools and solutions
• organisational innovation – identifying innovative ways of cooperation between farmers and other supply chain participants, including new types of contracts.
Participants willing to share their knowledge and experiences on this topic are urged to apply. All applications must be submitted before 10 February 2025, 23:59 CET.
Further information on the event can be found on the EU CAP Network website. Applications can be submitted here.
Applicants must demonstrate a keen interest in the topic and participation in the workshop, with reference to the main and specific workshop objectives;
In contributing to the workshop’s objectives, applicants should exhibit expertise and background on the topic, and be able to share and exchange ideas, knowledge and experiences with other participants;
Applicants should illustrate how their participation in the workshop could potentially benefit their professional activities.
The involvement of applicants in relevant projects and initiatives will also be considered. Geographical balancing will be applied to ensure an equitable distribution of participants across EU Member States.
Only one participant per project or organisation will be accepted. However, farmers and advisors are strongly encouraged to apply, and in such cases a second application per organisation or project may be considered.
Given the limited number of participants, we aim to create a diverse community with a broad geographical coverage. After all applications have been assessed, selected participants will be invited to register and confirm their attendance at the workshop by early March 2025.
Participation in the event is free of charge. Participants from public or national administrations are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses. For other participants, if expenses cannot be covered by projects or organisations, travel and accommodation (hotel) costs for some selected participants may be covered by the European Commission. Applicants should not make any reservations until their application has been confirmed successful.
