DESCRIPTION:Join us to explore and try to solve the difficulties that farmers face in Ireland due to climate change and our current food system.\n\n\n\nThis event is for anyone interested in learning about\, or advocating for local food systems – policy makers\, people working for services and agencies\, practitioners\, researchers\, activists\, campaigners and small businesses using or interested in using local ingredients in their products. \n\n\n\n\nWe will: \n*Strengthen climate resilience by developing meaningful connections between local food producers—especially women—and key decision-makers \n*Bridge the gap between local growers and practitioners and policymakers to support the development of climate-conscious\, community-rooted supply chains. \n*Encourage a cultural shift toward valuing and supporting local growers\, even amid increasingly unpredictable climate conditions. \n*Promote knowledge exchange that enables local producers to secure stable markets while reducing the environmental impact of long-distance food distribution. \n*Cocreate strategies for advocating within local food systems.
